Garfield Square Pool has long been one of the city’s most popular sites for recreation, anchoring a park that provides a field for soccer, a playground, a picnic area and landscaping to residents in the Mission neighborhood. San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department has undertaken a renovation project that comprises improvements to the pool building and clubhouse, a multi-use addition, and associated site improvements. The project represents a commitment to enhance public services in underrepresented neighborhoods such as the Mission.
